DETector Engineering and Technology (DET) - Beads for NPD
DETector Engineering and Technology (DET) offers DET Ceramic Ion Sources (NP Beads) to fit the Agilent 6890/7890 NPD equipment.
Unlike most other glass NP beads, DET's robust ceramic materials do not soften or melt at the 600 – 800oC temperature required for NP detection. The DET bead's wire core is protected from corrosive exposure by a unique inert ceramic sub-layer coating This offers unlimited shelf life for the DET beads under ambient conditions!
There are two Ion Source (Bead) Coating Choices available:
- TID-2 type (black ceramic) for non-tailing Phosphorus peaks, but Nitrogen response not as large as TID-4 type – recommended for applications requiring P or both N and P detection (e.g., pesticides) - 70fg P/sec detectivity;
- TID-4 type (white ceramic) for best possible Nitrogen response, but some tailing of Phosphorus peaks – recommended for applications requiring only N detection (e.g., drugs of abuse) – 70fg N/sec detectivity

Optimize Technologies Halo®- 5 Packing Material
HALO 5µm Packing Material comes in a variety of phases: C18, C8, HILIC, Penta-HILIC, Phenyl-Hexyl, PFP, and ES-CN.
HALO®-5 packing materials are made using Fused-Core® particle technology (core-shell particles) to produce trap and guard columns that deliver the efficiency of UHPLC columns packed with 3µm totally porous particles, but with the back pressure of columns packed with 5µm particles. The low back pressure of HALO-5 packed beds facilitates the use of higher flow rates for faster separations and greater sample throughput. This is particularly useful for LC-MS applications. The low pressure also permits the use of longer columns; or even the coupling of columns in series, to produce very high plate numbers (efficiency) to achieve greater resolving power when needed for complex samples.
